Come, take a deep breath and let us guide you through the forest.
Cost: 30 euros
What to expect?
We will meet on our private land adjoining the river and forest where we will summarise the meaning of Forest bathing / shrinrin-yoku (which translates to “absorbing the forest atmosphere”); giving you some insight into the fundamental principles of the practice, as well as its health and wellbeing benefits.
Invitations
We will invite you unplug and step into nature, leave behind your burdens and responsibilities for the next few hours as we enter into the moment. You will be invited to participate in gentle activities designed to engage your senses and tune into the sounds, smells, textures, and sights of the nature around you. These last between 10 and 20 minutes and are entirely optional. We will not walk more than 1 km and terrain will be unsteady in places.
Tea ceremony
‘Foraged tea’ and light, healthy snacks mark the end of the session informally and allow a chance, if you choose, to discuss about the experience and practice.
What to bring?
Forest bathing is slow. It’s not a physically exerting activity, but it is outside for the duration. More clothes are needed than for a normal walk in the woods.
Clothing: layered clothing, which can go in a back pack along with waterproof clothing, walking boots or trainers. We will be crossing a low river, if you do not wish to go barefoot (recommended) bring waterproof footwear.
A notepad or sketchbook (if you wish).
This program is limited to fifteen participants and must have a minimum of five participants. This program is recommended for those 18 years of age and older.
